Brattleboro – Mary Frances Prodouz, 82, of Beech Street, passed away Saturday morning, January 7, 2017 at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Prodouz was born in Quincy, Mass. on October 5, 1934, the daughter of Clarence and Daisy (Power) Gurney. She was raised and educated in Massachusetts, graduating from Braintree High School, Class of 1952. Mrs. Prodouz had been a resident of Brattleboro since 1965.
She was a devoted homemaker and for ten years was employed by the town of Brattleboro as a crossing guard at the top of Union Hill.
Of her leisure time activities, she enjoyed watching the Kentucky Derby each year, was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and loved spending time with her two grandsons.
On June 17, 1965 in Seabrook, N.H., she was married to Raymond Prodouz who predeceased her on September 16, 2008.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Prodouz of Brattleboro; one son, Mark Prodouz and his wife Barbara of Bellevue, NE; two grandsons, Daniel and Matthew Cutter, both of Brattleboro and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one brother, Maurice Gurney.
No formal funeral services are scheduled. She will be buried with her husband in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery in Quincy on Saturday, June 17, 2017.
