Chesterfield, NH - Thomas Alan, "Tom" Chase, 61, of Stage Road, a lifelong resident of Chesterfield died early Saturday afternoon, April 22, 2017 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Tom was born in Brattleboro on September 13, 1955 the son of Charles and Theresa (Letourneau) Chase. He was raised and educated in Chesterfield and was a graduate of Keene High School, Class of 1973.
He worked his entire career as a mason and owned and operated his own Masonry business, T. Chase Masonry based in Chesterfield. Previously he worked for Helmuth Busse Masonry of Brattleboro.
An ardent outdoorsman, Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brother, spending time on his tractor, and time shared with his family, especially his granddaughters.
On June 17, 1977 in Chesterfield he was married to Rose Coleman who survives.
Besides his faithful and devoted wife of almost 40 years he leaves two daughters, Heather Whittier and her husband Robert of Gill, Mass. and Jennifer Chase and her fiancée Zackery Forcier of Vernon, VT; one brother, David Chase and wife Lisa of Chesterfield; two sisters, Christine Guerin and husband Butch of Bondsville, Mass. and Sharon Wessel and husband Bill of West Chesterfield, six grandchildren, Korrin, Olivia, Ciara, Shilo, Katelyn and Dylan.
Additionally he leaves four great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Theresa Chase, and one brother, Dennis Chase.
In keeping with Tom's final wishes there are no formal services scheduled. Private burial will take place in Chesterfield West Cemetery on Poor Road.
