Brattleboro- Mary Martha Pazsak, 82, of Windward Drive passed away early Thursday morning, May 18, 2017 in the comfort of her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Mary was born in Millbury, Massachusetts on April 5, 1935 the daughter of Frederick and Esther (Caisse) Hart. She was raised and educated in Millbury graduating from Millbury Memorial High School, Class of 1953.
She had been employed as an administrative assistant for State Mutual Life Assurance Company of America based in Worcester, Massachusetts.
A resident of Brattleboro since 1976, she worked at the Shoe Tree on Main Street and for the past seventeen years worked at Galanes's Vermont Shop.
Mary was known for her pleasant and warm personality and her spirit of friendship.
A devout Catholic, she was a communicant of Saint Michael's Roman Catholic Church.
On October 2, 1976 in Pepperhill, Massachusetts she was married to Joseph E. Pazsak, Jr. who predeceased her on April 21, 2005.
Survivors include one brother, Walter Hart of Hyannis, Massachusetts, a cousin, Laura Jean Costa of Melbourne, Florida, dear friends, Missy and Richard DeGray of Brattleboro and several nieces, nephews and close friends.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Saint Michael's Catholic Church. Fr. Justin Baker, pastor, will be presiding with Rev. Kurt Klismet, O.SS.T. of The Order of the Most Holy Trinity in Baltimore, MD assisting on the altar. Committal Rites and burial will follow in Saint Michael's Parish Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
