Brattleboro- James Harold “Jim” Brown, 75, of Glen Street, a lifelong resident of Brattleboro died unexpectedly November 19, 2017 at his home.
He was born in Wilmington on January 31, 1942 the son of Richard and Sarah (Glazier) Brown. He was raised and educated in Brattleboro graduating from Brattleboro Union High School, Class of 1960.
He had been employed for many years at the former H. Margolin Pocketbook Shop on Upper Canal Street and previously worked for several years at the former BookPress. He also devoted many years as caretaker for his elderly mother prior to her passing.
For several years he had attended First Congregational Church in West Brattleboro. Of his pastimes and interests, he enjoyed hunting during his earlier years as well as puttering around his home.
Survivors include one brother, Richard Brown of Dunedin, Florida and one niece and a nephew.
In keeping with his final wishes there are no services scheduled. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Putney will be held at a later date.
