Barbara was raised and educated in Queens and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School, Class of 1958. She went on to attend New York State University in Onenonta, NY where she majored in elementary education.

In July of 1979 Barbara moved to the Brattleboro area with her family. She was employed as a para educator at Brattleboro High School for 10 years and later at Brattleboro Area Middle School for 7 years. Previously she worked at JCPenny in Brattleboro as a sales associate and at the former Avenue Answering Service in Brattleboro.

On August 29, 1964, at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockwell Center, NY, Barbara was married to Angelo Tudda. Her husband of 32 years predeceased her on April 21, 1997.

Steadfast in her walk of faith, Barbara was a communicant of St. Michael’s Catholic Church where she was also active with the church’s Parish Prayer Group, served as a Eucharistic Minister and taught CCD religious education. She was also a volunteer at Brigid’s Kitchen. She was a longtime volunteer at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital working in the transportation department, a position she thoroughly enjoyed. For a ten year period, Barbara, along with her husband Ange, attended St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Northfield, MA where she was also active with their Parish Prayer Group and served as Eucharistic Minister.

Of her past times and interests, Barbara enjoyed reading, flower gardening, going for walks and time shared with her family, especially her only grandson, Jacob Angelo Scully.

Barbara is survived by: three sons, Dr. Christopher Tudda of Arlington, VA, Kenneth Tudda and wife Jeannie of Redondo Beach, CA and Michael Tudda of Brattleboro; one daughter, Corinne Scully and husband Corey of Vernon; one brother, Robert Valenti and wife MaryAnn of Keene; one sister, Lorraine Costantino and husband Dimmy of Live Oak, FL; one grandson, Jacob Angelo Scully and several nieces and nephews.
