Brattleboro- Emeline C. Bezio, 98, formerly of Garfield Drive died Friday, April 6, 2018 at Applewood Harborside Healthcare in Winchester, New Hampshire.
Mrs. Bezio was born on March 3, 1920 in Easthampton, Massachusetts the daughter of James and Laura (Rabideau) Barcomb. She was raised in Moores Forks, New York where she attended a one room schoolhouse.
She eventually moved to Brattleboro with her family and worked for several years at the former Guilford Paper Company. Most of her life she was a devoted homemaker.
A devout Catholic, she was a longtime communicant of Saint Michael’s Roman Catholic Church.
Of her leisure time activities, she enjoyed camping, crocheting, knitting, cooking and time shared with her family.
On April 19, 1949 in Burlington she was married to Robert Joseph Bezio who predeceased her on January 2, 2005.
Survivors include fourteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was predeceased by two sons, Arthur Billings, Jr and Eugene Barcomb, Sr.; brothers, Jeffrey, Conrad and Lewis Barcomb; and sisters, Viola Barcomb, Marguerite Lambert, Leona Beebe and Blanche Arnold.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Bezio will be interred Saturday, April 14th at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Parish Cemetery with Father Justin Baker, Pastor, officiating.
