Brattleboro- Patricia Nora “Pat” Krieger, 83 of Putney Road, a resident of the greater Brattleboro area since 1973 died Saturday morning, April 20, 2019 at her home following a period of declining health.
Pat was born in New York City on October 19, 1935, the daughter of Patrick J. and Margaret M. (Kreutter) O’Reilly. She attended Darlington Catholic Elementary School in Mahwah, New Jersey and was a graduate of Saint Luke’s High School in Hohokus, New Jersey.
A former resident of Ramsey, New Jersey, Pat had been employed at the Wyckoff N.J. Bank and after initially moving to Dummerston she worked at the Scott Farm and later Appropriate Technology/Window Quilt in Brattleboro. Pat was also a faithful and devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose life centered around her family.
With her husband she was a communicant of Saint Michael’s Roman Catholic Church.
Pat was a gifted artist and enjoyed drawing flowers and birds, her preferred medium being colored pencils. She also enjoyed gardening and travel.
On her birthday, October 19, 1963, at Saint Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Wyckoff, she was married to John A. Krieger, who survives.
Besides her faithful husband of 55 years she leaves: one daughter, Kathleen Savard and her husband Wayne of Enfield, New Hampshire; a son, John M. Krieger of Nashua, New Hampshire; one brother, Patrick O’Reilly of Nebraska; three grandchildren, Lyndsey, Mandie, and Wayne Savard, and a great granddaughter, Ariana. Additionally, she is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Pat was predeceased by a sister, Karen Lorenz.
Burial with graveside committal rites in Saint Michael’s Parish Cemetery will be conducted Saturday (4/27) at 10:30 A.M. with Fr. Justin Baker, pastor officiating.
