Hinsdale- Aaliyah Destiny Jacobs, of Plain Road in Hinsdale, formerly of Elliot Street in Brattleboro died unexpectedly Thursday, April 11, 2019 at her residence in Hinsdale, she was 19 years old.
Aaliyah was born in Greenfield, Massachusetts on July 14, 1999 the daughter of Michelle Cleaves and Bernard Jacobs. She was raised and educated in Brattleboro attending public schools including Brattleboro Union High School.
At the time of her death she had been employed by Aris Solutions working as an elderly caregiver in the Brattleboro area. Previously she had worked at The Works Bakery Cafe and Tulip Café and Creperie both on Main Street in Brattleboro.
Of her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed dancing, listening to music and time shared with her family and friends. Aaliyah was known for out friendly and outgoing personality.
Survivors include her mother and father of Brattleboro and her seven siblings, Bernard Jacobs, Jr. of Brattleboro, Christian Martinez, Taisha Martinez and Juanita Martinez all of Boston, Ricky Martinez and Symphonie Martinez both of Lexington, South Carolina and Courtney Jacobs of Brattleboro.
Additionally, she leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins and many nieces and nephews as well as a large host of friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Michael’s Roman Catholic Church at a later date and time to be announced.
